Gastrointestinal Oncology Cancer Program

The Department of Oncology at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins invites applications for a Johns Hopkins University Gastrointestinal Oncology Cancer Program faculty position based at our East Baltimore Hospital location in Baltimore, MD. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the care of gastrointestinal cancer patients.  The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team from the departments of pathology, surgery, radiation oncology, genetics, tumor biology, radiology, biostatistics and gastroenterology to develop and grow a clinical and translational research program in cholangiocarcinoma and hepatocellular cancer. Academic rank will be at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor commensurate with level of experience.

The successful candidate will join a Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology program that currently includes 15 full time faculty gastrointestinal oncologists, 5 advanced practice nurse practitioners and fellows from our medical oncology fellowship training program. All Oncology faculty are also members of the NCI-designated Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The successful candidate must be board certified or eligible and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Maryland. The candidate should demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in clinical and/or translational research, education. Responsibilities will include: attending on inpatient units, attending and supervising fellows in outpatient clinic, and developing and supervising clinical research protocols. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package with a salary range for this position of $150,000 - $166, 200.

The candidate will have opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and scholarship, working with East Baltimore based faculty.
